Online UPS Systems in Jordan

We supply, install and maintain online UPS systems in Jordan, from 1 kVA single-phase units up to 6.4 MVA parallel systems. Our clients are banks, hospitals, data rooms, labs and factories that cannot afford a reboot, let alone an outage.

Every quote starts with a free sizing check. We measure what your equipment draws, agree the runtime you need, and then choose the brand and topology that fit the load and the budget.

How an online UPS protects the load

An online double-conversion UPS converts the incoming AC to DC and back to AC all the time. Your servers, analysers or PLCs run on the inverter output, so sags, spikes, noise and the frequency swings you get from a generator stay on the input side.

When the mains fails there is nothing to switch. The battery already sits on the DC bus and carries the inverter until the power comes back or the generator takes over. The load sees no break at all.

Cheaper UPS types switch over when the mains fails, and that gap is long enough to reset sensitive equipment. The table shows the difference.

Brands and ranges we supply

Our core UPS brands are Riello, Legrand UPS and APC by Schneider Electric. We also supply other makes when a project calls for them. The ranges below come from each manufacturer’s current line-up.

How we size a UPS

We start on site. We log the real load in kW and kVA, the power factor and the inrush current, because nameplates usually overstate what equipment draws. A UPS running at 30% of its rating wastes money and runs less efficiently.

Then we set the runtime. Five to ten minutes covers a generator start and transfer. A site without a generator needs enough time to shut systems down cleanly. We size the battery for that runtime at the real load, allowing for battery ageing, and add 20 to 25% headroom for growth.

For sites that cannot drop the load, we design N+1: two or more units in parallel, or a modular UPS, so one module can fail or be serviced while the load stays protected. We also check that your generator can carry the UPS, and how hot the battery room gets. A VRLA battery loses about half its life for every 10 °C above 25 °C.

What a UPS needs over its life

A three-phase UPS that is looked after lasts 15 years or more. Most of that comes down to three scheduled jobs. Standard VRLA batteries need replacing at around year five, sooner in a hot room. Cooling fans and capacitors are usually replaced as preventive work at around year seven. Firmware and settings need checking at every service visit.

Skip those and the UPS fails early, often on the day you need it. We run factory-backed maintenance on Riello and Legrand UPS systems, service most other makes, and every UPS we sell carries a two-year standard warranty from commissioning.

Questions we get asked

What size UPS do I need?

Add up the real running load in kW, add 20 to 25% for growth, then decide on the runtime. We measure the load on site as part of every quotation and it costs you nothing.

Online or line-interactive?

Online double conversion for servers, medical equipment, lab analysers and industrial controls. Line-interactive is fine for network switches and office PCs, where a few milliseconds of transfer does no harm.

How long does delivery take?

Single-phase and small three-phase UPS usually ship in two to three weeks. Larger three-phase and modular systems depend on the configuration, and we confirm the date in the quotation.

Can the UPS run from my generator?

Yes, if the two are matched. A modern UPS with an IGBT rectifier draws low input distortion, so the generator can be sized closer to the UPS rating. We check the pairing before you buy either.

What warranty do you give?

Two years standard warranty from commissioning. After that you can move onto one of our maintenance plans.

Send us the load and we will size the UPS
