Lithium-ion UPS Batteries in Jordan
Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries give a UPS 10 to 15 years of design life in far less floor space than lead-acid, and they cope much better with a warm room. We supply and install lithium battery systems for UPS, data centers and energy storage, and wire the battery management system into your monitoring.

Where lithium pays for itself
A VRLA bank is usually replaced two or three times over the 15-year life of a three-phase UPS. An LFP bank is designed to last that long, so you buy the battery once and avoid the replacement shutdowns.
Heat is the other reason. Lead-acid life halves for every 10 °C above 25 °C. LFP loses far less, which matters in a Jordanian summer and in rooms where the cooling is not guaranteed.
It is also lighter and smaller for the same runtime. That helps when the room or the floor loading is the limit.

Safety and control
We use lithium iron phosphate, the most thermally stable lithium chemistry used in stationary storage. Every cabinet has a battery management system that balances the cells, limits charge and discharge current, and disconnects the string if a cell goes out of range.
The UPS has to be approved for lithium by its manufacturer, with matching charge settings and communication. We check that before we quote, and connect the BMS alarms to your SNMP or building management system.
Lithium systems come from Saft, Ultracell (ULIT LiFePO4) and the UPS makers’ own lithium cabinets, including Riello and Salicru.

When VRLA is still the better buy
Lithium costs more upfront. For a small single-phase UPS, or a site that will be rebuilt within five years, VRLA usually works out cheaper. An older UPS may not support lithium at all and would need upgrading first.
We give you both prices and the cost of each over ten years, including replacements, and you decide. VRLA batteries →
Questions we get asked
Can I put lithium batteries in my existing UPS?
Only if the UPS maker approves lithium for that model and the charger can be set for it. Many recent three-phase UPS support it. We check your model first.
Is lithium safe in a server room?
LFP is the most stable lithium chemistry for stationary use, and each cabinet has its own BMS and protection. We install to the manufacturer requirements and connect the alarms to your monitoring.
How long does a lithium UPS battery last?
Typically 10 to 15 years, depending on temperature and cycling. That is two to three times a standard 5-year VRLA block.
