Medical Isolated Power Supply (IPS) in Jordan
In an operating room or an ICU, one fault on the wiring shouldn’t switch the room off. An IPS keeps the power on through that first fault and warns the staff, so they can finish what they’re doing and get it fixed safely.

How an IPS works
The room is fed through a medical isolation transformer. If one wire develops a fault to earth, nothing trips and the room stays on. A monitor watches the insulation all the time and sounds an alarm in the room, so the fault can be found and fixed at a safe moment, not in the middle of surgery.
What we supply
Medical isolation transformer
Feeds the room and keeps leakage current low, so a first fault never trips the supply.
Insulation monitor
Checks the system all the time and raises the alarm before a fault becomes a problem.
Alarm panel in the room
Lights and a sound the staff can see and hear, with a test button and a mute.
We also supply the UPS that backs the IPS up, and we service both.
Questions we get asked
Which rooms need an IPS?
Operating theatres, ICUs and other rooms where patients are connected to equipment that cannot be switched off. Your project specification will list the rooms.
What is the difference between an IPS and a UPS?
A UPS keeps the room running when the mains fails. An IPS keeps it running when there is a fault on the wiring. Most hospitals need both.
Do you supply the full package?
Yes. Isolation transformers, insulation monitors, alarm panels and the UPS behind them, installed and serviced by our engineers.
Send the room list and drawings
We reply with the IPS panel schedule, transformer sizes and price.
